At the heart of our actions lies the safeguarding and promotion of Moroccan and global heritage identity. We are committed to supporting official efforts to ensure a broad and enlightened understanding of Moroccan culture and the elements of universal folklore.
Governance
WACH is guided by a distinguished board uniting expertise in law, culture, diplomacy, tourism, and civil society.
A globally recognized stateswoman, Dr. El Haité is the first non-European and first woman from MENA elected President of Liberal International. Former Minister Delegate in charge of Environment, co-founder of the NDC Partnership and the Marrakech Partnership for Global Climate Action. Holds two PhDs and a Legion d'Honneur.
Distinguished academic and statesman. Appointed Minister of Culture and Communication by H.M. King Mohammed VI in 2017. Author of over twenty books on law and governance. Doctor of State in Public Law, professor at the Universities of Tetouan and Fez. Elected Member of Parliament for three consecutive terms.
Prominent figure in the Moroccan and international cultural landscape. Director General of the Al-Arab TV website, President of the Fez International Film Festival, distinguished journalist and film critic. International jury member for the CAM Festival in Egypt and the Baghdad International Film Festival.
Distinguished leader in the Moroccan cultural sector since 2008. Former Director of the Al-Qarawiyyin Library — one of the oldest and most significant libraries in the world. Former Director of the General Library and Archives of Tetouan. Holds a Master's in Codicology; recognized expert in manuscript preservation.
Prominent leader in the Moroccan hospitality sector and key advocate for the cultural heritage of Fez. Owner of the renowned 5-star Riad Arabesque. President Delegate of the Fez Guest House Association. Former President of Wydad de Fes. Dedicated to restoring sector integrity and enhancing regional promotion.
Distinguished Chief Agricultural Engineer with over 26 years of experience within the Moroccan Ministry of Agriculture. Graduate of the Hassan II Institute of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine (IAV). Expert in agricultural development, pastoralism, and the cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants.
