Presidential Message
Heritage as a Force
for Sustainable Development
Culture and heritage are more than mere witnesses to our past; they are the
pillars of sustainable development and a shared future. As President, and
drawing upon my international commitment to the environment and global dialogue,
I envision this association as a space for reflection and innovation.
"Our mission is to transform heritage into a lever of soft power,
strengthening Morocco's position as a land of encounter and dialogue
between civilizations."
Fez, as the Spiritual and Knowledge Capital of Morocco, provides the perfect
setting for this vision. For centuries, this city has been a crossroads of
ideas, faiths, and cultures — and today, through the World Association for
Culture and Heritage, we aim to amplify that role on the global stage.
Through our events, our research, and our partnerships, we are building
bridges between tradition and modernity, between the local and the universal.
The KARAMAH Summit, our flagship initiative, embodies this vision: a gathering
dedicated to Universal Human Dignity as the foundation of a more just and
peaceful world.
I invite all those who share our commitment to culture, heritage, and human
dignity to join us on this journey. Together, we can ensure that the richness
of our collective past becomes the strength of our common future.
Dr. Hakima El Haite
President, WACH
